Last of my three main characters is Ian Dent, son of Freya. Like far most other scions of the Norse pantheon Ian has a big and strong build and has also inherited a pretty face from his revered mother Freya. Despite all this, he’s really sort of a gentle giant. Before his Visitation he was working towards becoming a teacher. The powers granted to him by Freya’s lineage is those of Fertility and Magic, she has also granted him the powers of a war god though those lies a bit far from either of their natures.

His Birthrights consists of:

A round shield blessed with Freya’s magic runes. It channels the Fertility purview.

The sword Lath(Laþu) granted to him by a Valkyrie. It channels the War purview.

A necklace that’s pretty much just a cheap knockoff of Freya’s legendary relic Brisingamen. It’s still from Freya’s personal jewelry hoard though and grants him access to the Magic Purview.

Hm, some of the words i used for this might be a bit hard to understand if you don’t really know about Scion i guess… I’ll explain a bit more about the lingo.

Scion is a Pen and Paper roleplay system where you play the children of the gods.

The Visitation is the moment in the persons life where he or she is given word from their godly parents about who they are and what is going on around the world with the Titans invading and are showered with gifts and powers that match their lineages.

Purviews are the categorized powers of the gods. Gods of war get the War Purview, protector gods get the Guardian Purview and the like. Most gods has more facets than one and therefore more purviews available to them. For example, Lapis’ dad Anubis the Egyptian god of Death and burials has three Purviews associated with him. Death(obvious), Animal(Because he is associated with Jackals) and Psychopomp(The power to guide the souls of the living and the dead).

Last is Birthrights, the gifts given to Scions from their divine parents. These magical relics can be anything from a small fleck of Thors mighty hammer Mjolnir to a simple ring forged by the legendary smith Volund to the very Golden Fleece from the great Greek odysseys. These relics are neccessary for the Scions to channel the Purviews of their parents, they are the groundstone of what the Scion is capable of.

This is the second of my three main characters; Helen Pecorelli, the Daughter of Hera.

Helen has always wanted to become a journalist and even after her visitation and the knowledge of the war happening in the overworld feels like it should be her goal. She is a fiery girl who believes firmly in justice and retribution, the powers of Justice that her divine mother has granted her reflects that.

Her Birthrights consists of:

A spear that uses the power of the Justice purview to strike true.

Three Myrmidon soldiers.

A keychain with the mystical power of shrinking items that she can hod in her hands down to a portable and easily concealable size. Her three Myrmidons can also be summoned from this relic.

One of three main characters; Lapis Allam, the Daughter of Anubis

Lapis is the brains of the team, a daughter of the Egyptian god of death and burials. She is cynical to a fault and therefore has a very hard time putting effort into anything. She has the powers of a corpse prophet, able to read many things from the dead bodies of humans, the power to guide the living and the dead and the protection of her godly fathers patron animal, the jackal. Before she had her visitation she tried to become a doctor.

Her birthrights consists of:

A golden razor sharp kopesh with the ability to transform into a massive black jackal.

A ceremonial knife, from the opening of the mouth ceremony. It channels the purview of death.

An ankh shaped musical instrument called a sistrum, The sound of it’s bells guides the souls of the living and the dead.

Hey guys, it’s been a real long while.

Ask Atom Split is not really a project i have much drive to continue nowadays but i’m really missing having a tumblr project so i was thinking of a new one. My current idea is called Demigod Academy, it’s a high school setting based of White Wolf’s Scion roleplay. All the students have a godly parent and ability beyond the mortal man. There will be a whole lot of stories based on myth and i’m going to try and make it as interactive as i possibly can with the ask function.

Also for you guys i’m thinking of adding humanized versions of Split and Circuit for this school as a teacher and student. Now the questions arise though, what will their names be, will they still be mother and child and if Circuit is gonna join and be a Scion then who will her godly parent be? These things i will let you decide. It’ll be more fun this way.

By the way, here is 59 character designs for the project. As a start for me to get into it.

So when i noticed that my Exalted character was on the very edge of death thrice in one session i thought it might be an idea to make a couple a backups just in case. And, well, since my GM apparently only throws heavily combat specialized antagonists at us, i guess i’ll get right back at him with my Sidereal and Lunar Exalts. I do hope Tareq survives though, i like that character.

Looks great! Who is who?

Well the middle one in purple is Tareq, my character. An Indiana Jones-esque explorer. On his right is Zia, our Lunar shapeshifter who is our sneak. She uses her forms to get in everywhere. The one in the green coat is Hao “The Bountiful Piper” who is our charismatic guy. He pretty much specializes in asking nicely, oh, and he plays the flute. On the top left in the evil looking black armor with the ominous black-jade daiklaive who’s scowling crazily is Rya-Ki. Our resident crazy person. His motivation is conquest and not really for a noble purpose. He’s generally not really good at being a Solar. Last we have our ~~carry negro~~, uh, i mean silent protector. He’s good at fighting stuff and throwing his massive golden boomerang. It’s an… Interesting circle to say the least.
